fsv is great but it gets seriously overhyped by vaporwave ppl, if you like vaporwave then its good i love it but its nowhere near his best work. id say to listen to nyc considering ur on these forums or skid row. really anything on his spotify rn would be good places to start theyre all pretty accessible albums, the prince of rain bad boy flame bootleg is great too id recommend that. if you dont like one album im sure theres something you will like in another his discog is very diverse

I absolutely adore Ferraro, I think Last American Hero and Citrac are among his best, PT star cruisers is really slept on too

Oh man, I was listening to a lot of his discography back in 2020-2021 and it fit the pent-up internet-manifested neuroticism I was feeling. I remember listening to BEBETUNE$' INHALE C-4 $$$$$ and loving MACCAU CELEBRITIES and M A D N E $ $. It sounded like if you were to zoom in on a Sims City replica of Downtown LA. In M A D N E $ $ he like takes the Scholastic Utopia vibe from the 90s and mutates it into a brooding dilapidated nightlife. I love the eastern sitar-like sound he uses in that song.

I also listened to some of his tape recordings (I think they're tape recordings?). I liked Heavens Gate, Jarvid: Gecko 9, and especially Genie Head Gas In The Tower Of Dreams (Jesters Midnight Toys). The last one's name alone evoked so much imagery in my head. I am revisiting it as I type it out and forgot how imaginative it is. Its like baby stim for people addicted to that blissed-out hypnagogic feeling of being in between.

Its like existing inside a memory of what the medieval times were like but its all fuzzy and derezzed. This post reminded me to listen to it more lol.

I love Far Side Virtual! I for some reason am addicted to Dream On. I love the distorted vocal melodies harmonizing on it. Also the text to speech on Palm Trees Wifi and Dream Sushi paints such a satirical narrative. I love the lines "all of time square can see you, wave hello" and "um, sir, Richard Branson's Avatar says "hello"". Beautiful.

His stretch of projects from Mirai to Terminus were fucking insane. They're so profound and speak to the lasting effects of the dotcom bubble popping and the rise of consumerism grappling our souls imo.
