wow guys... some great stuff here... finishing up the jon jost directed trilogy with (in order) last chants for a slow dance (1977), sure fire (1990), and the bed you sleep in (1993). its kind of like a triptych of dark americana, each a tale of common evils we face in both white collar and working class communities. a lot of this feels pointed as if to say this is the result of american decay, each story a reflection of the country its based in. it operates on a similar wavelength to some of james benning's narrative landscape work, e.g landscape suicide or used innocence. ultimately these are really fantastic, warped dramas that i would really recommend!!! you can watch the first of the trilogy on youtube.
